Stars Academy was born out of resilience and collaboration in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian, when the need for safe, high-quality childcare in Charlotte County became urgent. Thanks to a partnership between the Gulf Coast Partnership, American Red Cross, and Community Foundation of Sarasota County, this vision became a reality.
Stars Academy is led by Maria Guerrero, Child Care Director, who brings more than two decades of experience in early childhood education. Located at 2230 Hariet Street, Port Charlotte, Florida 33952, Stars Academy serves children from 6 weeks to 5 years old, providing families with a nurturing environment focused on early learning, growth, and strong community foundations.
“Early learning builds the foundation for a child’s future. Quality care in these first years, shapes success in school, relationships, and life.” - Maria Guerrero, Director
